TimelyText contracted with ABB, Inc. to provide an experienced technical writer for a short project that required two new instruction manuals and updates of five existing manuals. The specialized nature of the equipment required someone with a background in hardware engineering, electromechanical systems and software processes. An existing TimelyText employee fulfilled the requirements and was assigned to the project.

During the initial phase of the project, existing related documents were studied, client requirements were analyzed and resources were identified through an online research study. The new instruction manuals were developed and carefully reviewed within the ABB offices prior to submission for a stringent client review process. Final corrections were made on short notice and the instruction manuals were certified for use. The successful completion of the initial document sets led to a continuation of the project in which a series of existing user guides are being updated to current industry engineering and safety standards.
